This newly built house required a family kitchen diner, to be the heart of the home and a great entertaining space. We chose our bespoke shaker range to provide all the ‘special features’ that our design required.
Symmetry and balance were key
The chimney mantle was the starting point providing a strong background as well as being the main food preparation and cooking zone. The large Island with ample storage, all important wine cabinet and breakfast bar for family meals and gatherings, sits centre stage. The bank of tall cabinets houses not only the ovens but also disguised doors into the pantry and utility room, creating a seamless look. The perimeter base and tall cabinets are hand painted in a warm light grey to match the walls and white, grey veined quartz worktops emphasise the space bringing a softness to this bright room. The Island, in contrast, is hand painted in midtone blue/green which works beautifully with the orange accents, oak breakfast bar and stools. Chrome handles give the finished look that ’touch of sparkle’.
